About

About:

I grew up in the small country town of Wodonga in Northeast Victoria; l was always outside growing up whether it be tennis, swimming, bike riding or on a family camping holiday and so… began my love of nature and journey in photography when l left school with my Minolta film camera, back then I was actively photographing Birds.

As we all know life gets busy and l let Photography go, in 2015 a clearer understanding; an epiphany you might say brought me back to Photography the photographic journey is very familiar and one which has grown over the years, and always includes more zoom!

As a natural light Photographer my focus is that of Bird life and Landscapes which are native to the local area.  I am also known for my images of other native animals which include but are not limited too Reptiles, Marsupials and anything else which is rare and not seen every day.

In those COVID years, and as a creative outlet during those numerous Lock downs we had in Victoria l found my-self exploring Photography course online with course completion through the Photography Institute, Sydney in 2021 – 2022, l am a firm believer one must always be learning something new or an extension of what one is already interested in; which led me to completing the compulsory modules but also modules in Wildlife Photography and Setting up one’s own Website.

My images are from in and around Northeast Victoria, with a focus on Albury Wodonga, Baranduda, Lake Hume, Yackandandah, Beechworth and roads from Bright – Mt Beauty leading up to the High-Country Mt Hotham Dinner Plain and Fall Creek.

When out and about with camera l am presented with nature in all sorts of forms, therefore l present my images as it is shown to me and hope that in sharing my work it brings to life the raw quality of what is around us and that we should stop and focus on that beauty.
